Job Placement of Students
Students are placed in various industries related to automotive, software / consulting, banking, automation, electronics, manufacturing, robotics, and biomedical sectors. Figure 12 shows the plot of number of students (Dual-Degree + MS + PhD) placed in various industries during the academic year 2012-2013. Percentage of students placed in core industries is more than 50%. 100% on-campus placement was attained by the first batch (2005 batch) of students. On campus placement of around 80% have been attained by the 2006 and the 2007 batch students. The 2008 batch students, who graduated in 2013, attained the on-Campus placement of about 73%. Further, few students (around 5%) have received off-campus placement offers. Few students from previous batches have also initiated their effort to be an entrepreneur in designing and developing products. Department has also made an attempt to provide some space for initiating their start-up activities based on recommendations from faculty members.
