Course Content

Experiments in three range of automobiles for ride and handling with ISO standards test using Steering robot and vehicle measurement systems. Development of Mumuro plots. Testing of braking system, fuel efficiency etc.

Measurement of various quantities: Steering angle, Transverse acceleration, Longitudinal acceleration/deceleration, Yaw velocity, Sideslip angle and roll angle, Longitudinal and
transversal velocity, Steering angle of front and rear wheels, Slip angle of front and rear wheels, Camber Change, Wheel travel

Steering robot system: Computer-control of machine for applying inputs to a vehicle’s
steering system
