Dr Asokan has been invited (sponsored by Lemelson Foundation) to attend the National Collegiate Innovators and Inventors Alliance (NCIIA) annual conference "OPEN 2014" to be held at San Jose, California from 20th to 22nd March 2014. Dr Asokan will participate in a round table discussion to be moderated by Prof. Paul Hudnut, Collarado State University, on building strong educational programs around technology invention and innovation for poverty alleviation and basic human needs. Indo-Australian Senior Scientist Fellowship: Indian National Science Academy (INSA) has awarded the Indo-Australian Senior Scientist S&T Visiting Fellowship 2012-13 to Dr T. Asokan for conducting advanced research on "Multi-domain robot systems" at the Australian Defence Force Academy, Canberra. Visiting Fellowship: Dr Asokan has been appointed as a Visiting Fellow of the University of New South Wales, Canberra, Australia.
