Thank you for your interest in our research laboratory! The Advanced Geometric Computing Lab is always seeking to recruit those interested in our research areas.
Potential research topics include (but not restricted to):
Reconstruction from a 3D point cloud
Shortest path in surfaces / meshes
Decomposition of Mesh models
3D model search
Model Abstraction - Mid-surface, Medial Surface, Voronoi diagram
Applications of Deep learning in Geometric problems
Virtual Reality and Augmented reality design and applications
Real time object recognition
We are also open to interesting user-defined Geometric problems.
Our research team consists of Doctoral students, Masters students, and Undergraduate students. Broadly, our group is involved in developing geometric algorithms and implementing them. We predominantly use open source for implementation - IRIT Kernel for curves and surfaces, and CGAL for poit clouds and mesh models.
