The Department of Engineering Design offers undergraduate-linked dual degree pathways, specialised M.Tech. programmes, and research degrees (M.S. by Research and Ph.D.). The programmes are designed to balance strong fundamentals with interdisciplinary applications and industry relevance.
Dual Degree Programmes
From concept to a component that meets a desired function aptly describes Engineering Design. Students are introduced to design early with foundations in mathematics, science, engineering, graphic art, and aesthetics, followed by depth in mechanical design, electronics, controls, and embedded systems.
At the end of the 4th semester, students choose specialisation pathways in Automotive Engineering, Biomedical Design, Robotics (IDDD), or Electric Vehicles (IDDD), with a semester-long industry internship as a distinctive programme component.
