3D Modeling / Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Laboratory

This lab is part of the course `Geometric Modeling and CAD’, formerly called as `Computer Modeling Lab’. Starting from sketching fundaments, students are then taught to create 3D parts. The assembly fundamentals are then used to connect the various parts. Modeling softwares such as Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Fusion 360 will be used in this course. This course will also give insights into the various mechanical joints and coupling typically used in Engineering Design. Examples - Cotter joints, Universal Joint, Couplings, Machine Components such as Lathe head stock, tail stock etc. More details about this course is available in https://ed.iitm.ac.in/~raman/cmme.html
